The event drew to a close with keynote speeches from representatives of the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Social Solidarity, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, the Saan Al-Hayat Foundation, and Nile University. Their uplifting messages commended the participants’ contributions and motivated them to keep advancing viable solutions for climate issues.
The evening’s pinnacle arrived with the reveal of the winning teams: Solarsoil, Agrican, Green Flames, Fruitful Solutions, and Neopetra. Honored for their ingenuity, these teams will gain access to financial backing, technical mentorship, and vital resources to transform their concepts into real-world initiatives.
In a special highlight, Ecopack secured an exceptional opportunity from the Egyptian Food Bank (EFB). Upon successful project rollout, the bank pledged an initial order of about one million units in the first year. Proven success could lead to sustained follow-on orders with profitable margins over the ensuing three years, embodying a mutually beneficial partnership that bolsters Ecopack’s novel approach while aligning with the EFB’s mission.

Funded by the European Union and spearheaded by the Saan Al-Hayat Foundation alongside the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, the competition was executed by Nile Pioneers in collaboration with Samsung, the American University in Cairo’s Nile campus, the Egyptian Food Bank, and various governmental entities. This partnership exemplifies a unified push toward fostering youth-led environmental innovation in Egypt.
